Saves a lot of time when youâ€™re trying to find a short. Great value for the money

If you do work on HVAC system you need this, if you don't already have one.

The tricky part of finding a short in a HVAC system that causes the fuse to blow is tracing the issue, you don't want to just throw replacement fuse in as they blow immediately, plus it adds strain to the transformer. That's where this comes in. Replace the fuse with the short finder. As long as it's brightly lit the short still exists. When the light goes out you've found it. You can use the jumper wire to create demand when you have the thermostat disconnected and also so you don't have to keep going back to the thermostat to try different things. This is a well made, easy to use, great value tool which should be in any HVAC toolkit.
